"Our God is an awesome God, He reigns in heaven above... and in Bali !" The Youth Clinic in Bali began on Dec. 5. Indonesia is a nation in turmoil yet we have 75 joy-filled believers who have come from many islands to get the training. OJT's have been done on the beach and in a concert held two night ago. Over 300 people attended the youth concert where the Nyack student band played contemporary music. The concert was held at the GKII (Indonesian Alliance Church) in Denpasar which is the capital city of Bali. The concert was run in such a way that we provided time for the EE teams to get acquainted with the young people attending the concert and in this way the teams are able to do "Concert OJTs". The results of the "Beach OJTs" and "Concert OJTs": teams shared the Gospel with 83 people and 38 prayed to receive Christ another 24 prayed for assurance. There is spiritual hunger in the midst of the Indonesian national crisis.

One other incredible incident, eighteen months ago we held the first Asian Youth Clinic here in Bali. One team, lead by a 17 year old Australian high school girl, spoke to a Hindu man. He had never been to Church or read a Bible but upon hearing the Gospel and prayed to receive Christ. He came back two days later to receive a Bible from us. Yesterday, eighteen months later, the same high school trainer was out witnessing with a team and she heard her name being called. She turned and the man she had lead to Christ over a year ago was standing there!! He told her he is now involved in a local church and he said he has been read his Bible every day since the night she prayed with him!! Only an "Awesome God" could arrange to bring them together again in a nation of 200 million people!!

This Clinic has had it's share of challenges and disappointments but that only proves that we've got Satan's attention.

The clinic ended with a Band Concert on the beach. Every contact the teams have made had been invited to attend the closing concert. We celebrated what the Lord has done and, at the same time, invited those who do not know the Savior to "join us" in the celebration!
